Snow and ice management professionals are encouraged to join the ASCA on Sept. 11 and 12 when the group holds its annual Day on the Hill legislative event in Washington. D.C.

ASCA Executive Director Kevin Gilbride says past legislative events have proven extremely valuable for the snow and ice management industry by both an education and lobbying perspective. The more industry representatives involved only strengthens the group's overall message.

"We have to build an awareness of who we are as individuals and as an industry to our Congress members," Gilbride says. "While some details are still being finalized, we believed it was important to get the initial information and, most importantly, the dates out in the industry to those planning to participate."

Gilbride adds those individuals planning to attend the ASCA’s Day on the Hill should email him as soon as possible at kgilbride@gie.net.

Legislative Day on the Hill, the annual Washington fly-in, is a time for snow industry professionals to increase their knowledge about legislative issues that affect their rights and privileges and to participate directly in the political process. We have to build an awareness of who we are as individuals and as an industry to our Congress members.

The ASCA welcomes industry professionals from across the nation to take part in this event.
