GIE Media's Snow Magazine, the leading business management publication serving the professional snow removal industry, has announced a series of six one-day seminars in a half-dozen select cities that will provide professional snow removal contractors a unique educational opportunity to build their snow and ice management skills in preparation for Winter 2011-12.

“Contractors are always telling us about the need for more fresh, innovative educational opportunities to help them improve their overall management skills,” says Snow Magazine editor Mike Zawacki. “In response to this request we organized these seminars to help fill that educational void with a series of great educational programming.”

The seminars will feature John Allin, the industry’s top consultant, a Snow Magazine columnist and author of the best selling "Managing Snow and Ice," who will guide attendees on a number of strategic topics, including:

            • Improving operational efficiencies – routing, hiring, dispatching,  working with subcontractors and using the
               latest technology to your advantage;
            • Impactful, yet cost-conscious, marketing initiatives that make available technology work for you;
            • Increasing cash flow and adding more to the bottom line;
            • Tips on estimating, contract structure and how to correctly evaluate a potential client’s property; and
            • Applying innovative strategies to raise the overall quality and effectiveness of their snow and ice
               management services.

Seminar dates and locations include:
