Snow Magazine, in conjunction with the Accredited Snow Contractor Association’s (ASCA) Executive Conference, honored four snow fighters during its 2012 Leadership Award Banquette.
Snow Magazine’s Leadership Award recognizes individuals who serve as examples to others in the professional snow and ice management industry, says Snow Magazine Editor Mike Zawacki.
“This year’s Leadership Award recipients reflect excellence – at the company level, within their communities and throughout the professional snow removal industry,” Zawacki says.
“Combining the Executive Summit with Leadership and the Top 100 has really made this a must-attend event for the leaders and top firms in the professional snow removal industry,” says ASCA Executive Director Kevin Gilbride. “Ask anyone in attendance and they’ll tell you that if you missed this event, then you missed a lot.”
The year, Snow Magazine honored Frank Dedon, president of Cleveland-based Abraxas Snow; Matt Boelman, vice president of Perficut, Des Moines, Iowa; Randy Strait, president, Arctic Snow and Ice, Chicago; and Mike “Frosty” clark, vice president of snow operations at Acres Group, Wauconda, Ill. Profiles on each of this year’s Leadership Award recipients begin on page 80.
The Leadership and Top 100 contractors were recognized as part of Snow Magazine’s 2012 Top 100 and Leadership Awards Banquette, which took place during ASCA’s Executive Summit, Aug. 9-11, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
