The Accredited Snow Contractors Association has announced that its annual Executive Summit is returning this year as an in-person event and will feature all of the highlights and opportunities that have made it the industry’s leading executive event.
“Over the past decade, ASCA Executive Summit has developed into the snow and ice industry leadership experience,” says ASCAS Executive Director Kevin Gilbride. “This year’s event features an agenda of next-level business development speakers, actionable growth strategies and the ASCA Leadership and Top 100 awards. It’s the only industry event where snow and ice management veterans come with candor, openness and collaboration and leave with real, hands-on advice to recharge their businesses.”
Registration is now open for the early August event and can be accessed via the Executive Summit website at www.ascaexecutivesummit.com.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, last year's Executive Summit, which was also slated to take place at the Amelia Island resort, was instead converted to a virtual conference. Due to progress being made with distributions a vaccine, Gilbride says the world is turning a corner with COVID and there is now a light at end of this year-long tunnel.
"I'm optimistic that we, as a society, are beginning to turn a corner with our battle against COVID-19," Gilbride says. "As such, a return to in-person events by late summer is, at this point, a realistic goal and one that the ASCA is planning for with regard to 2021 Executive Summit."
Gilbride says the ASCA has nearly finalized its conference agenda and has lined up a number of dynamic educational speakers, including:
Josh Ferguson, Partner, Freeman, Mathis & Gary, LLC
Josh is a Partner and Chair of the Philadelphia and New Jersey offices. He is a highly experienced attorney with an array of experience in high exposure tort, employment and professional liability cases.
At Executive Summit, Josh will address recent risk mitigation matters that impact snow professionals, as well as updates to contract and employment law that will directly impact your business.
Josh serves as general counsel for a wide variety of businesses, including those in the construction, snow and ice management, power sweeping, landscaping, and property management industries. He regularly advises clients on pending legislation at the Federal and State levels. He has drafted legislation on behalf of various industries, including the Anti-Indemnity Bill sponsored by the ASCA.

“We understand and appreciate COVID awareness not only among attendees, but also with the resort, its staff and its vendors,” Gilbride says. “As we move further into 2021, and as additional information regarding precautions, safeguards and vaccines become available, we will continue to evaluate all requirements and recommendations and work with the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort and all of our vendors to ensure proper safety protocols are being implemented before, during and after the event.”
ASCA Executive Summit is an annual conference focused on the business needs of the snow industry. Every year, the ASCA brings in dynamic speakers to discuss our industry and how professional snow and ice management contractors can improve their businesses. The conference is much more than learning how to plow snow. The three-day event addresses the business management topics that every business faces.
In addition to the conference, the event plays host to the annual Snow Magazine Leadership and Top 100 Awards.
