The big event was a year in the making. Due to the pandemic, last year’s Executive Summit was held digitally. This year, though, the ASCA and Snow Magazine returned the annual three-day event to a live format at the Omni Amelia Island Resort, along Northern Florida’s Atlantic Coast.
Participants were eager to mingle with their industry peers in between professional development sessions featuring educators speaking on building culture, providing economic analysis, giving insight on the state of mergers and acquisitions within the snow industry, and how to best prepare for their financial futures.
Representatives from the industry’s top 100 performing companies present at the conference were recognized during an awards ceremony. In addition, three industry individuals received Leadership Awards, including: Brilar’s Larry Yaffa; Diaz Group’s Rafael Diaz; and Invictus’ Brad Caton.
ASCA Executive Director Kevin Gilbride says once this year’s conference wraps up very little time passes before he begins seeking out a potential venue for the 2022 Executive Summit. Gilbride hints at a mountain retreat as a possible destination. Stay tuned for future announcements.
