This year’s Executive Summit is shaping up to be a special three days in late July.
The 2020 Executive Summit 2.0 is taking place July 29-31 at the Omni Amelia Island Resort, just a short car ride from Jacksonville in Fernandina Beach, Fla.
“As a group we struggled with deciding where to hold this year’s event,” says ASCA Executive Director Kevin Gilbride. “In fact, we had a number of destinations in consideration, both mountain getaways and beach-side resorts. Ultimately, we decided to get back to our roots and bring the conference back to Florida at a beach-side destination that may be the best location to date.”
ASCA’s Executive Summit 2.0 is the premier conference in the snow and ice management industry. Featuring high-value education and networking for business owners, Executive Summit 2.0 provides attendees an opportunity to experience the topics that are critical in running a successful small business today. In addition, the ASCA has merged the Snow Show educational sessions into the Executive Summit 2.0 format.
"These highly attended, and much desired, sessions focused on best practices, operational standards, reducing risk and growing business have long been the highlight of the Snow Show," Gilbride says. "These sessions will be held in conjunction with the Executive Summit sessions. Beginning on July 29th and running through July 31st we will have a mix of panel discussions and individual presentations from industry experts on how to better your snow business. This will add a new dynamic to the high-level networking and provide an opportunity to maximize the learning environment."
This year the ASCA is excited to announce its speaker line-up featuring some of today’s most relevant business topics to help you better manage your snow and ice operations.
John Ward will be presenting a half-day workshop on EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating Systems). EOS is one of the hottest topics in small today. EOS, the Entrepreneurial Operating System, is a complete set of simple concepts and practical tools that has helped thousands of entrepreneurs get what they want from their businesses. John not only speaks on EOS, but also spends most of his days consulting with business owners to help them implement EOS into their businesses.
Jim Canfield is a consultant, speaker and author. Jim works daily with business leaders to help them set their direction of their company and implement the right systems and metrics to ensure success. Jim’s presentation will provide attendees with an in-depth look a practical management tools to ensure your company’s success.
Tom Gimbel is an expert on hiring, careers and company culture, contributing to Inc., Fortune and The Wall Street Journal. Gimbel appears frequently on CNBC Squawk Box, TODAY, Fox Business Network, and in The New York Times, and Entrepreneur magazine, among others. Tom’s will help you understand HR in your company and provide you tips on how to better hire, train and retain employees.
Lastly, on the evening of July 30 Executive Summit plays hosts to the annual Leadership Awards – honoring contractors who display leadership in their businesses, the industry and in the communities they call home -- and the Top 100 ceremonies, celebrating the industry’s top performing companies.
“This year is really shaping up to be an event to remember,” Gilbride adds. “Between the education, the networking opportunities, as well as the host destination, this is an Executive Summit not to miss because it will be one we’ll be talking about for years to come.”
Member Donates Masks
A big shout out to Long Island-based, ASCA-member East End Group, which announced the donation of 10,000 N95 masks to local hospitals and health organizations.
“East End Group is well position in the emergency response space and has inventory and access to N95 masks that many may not,” says East End Group Managing Partner Ryan Dempsey in a statement. “We pride ourselves in being a company that cares and does the right thing – donating these masks to those who need them desperately is just the right thing to do.”

600-Level Education
Continue your Industry Standards-based education with 10 new 600-Level courses.
ASCA education certification gives you a measurable competitive advantage. The courses are the only industry education courses recognized by insurance agencies that help companies correctly document their work, improve company standards, and reduce the company’s risk. ASCA-C certification positions your company as reliable, professional, and trustworthy; protecting both you, and by extension, your clients.
“We are extremely excited to get these 10 new courses out to ASCA members,” says Kevin Gilbride, ASCA’s Executive Director. “We’re able to provide ASCA-C contractors a series of 45-minute to one-hour sessions that discuss a broad range of topics and interests. Together, they provide a comprehensive addition to many of the courses available in the previous series.”
ASCA Certification is an annual certification process developed for individuals who work in the professional snow and ice management industry. The education is risk management based and was developed to support the ANSI-Approved American National Standards for the snow and ice management industry. Courses and testing are done online to allow individuals to progress at their own paces.
